Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Support Services Division is seeking an experienced Space Planner/Interior Designer for the Architecture, Planning and Engineering Unit. This position is a full time, unclassified position in state government and will be eligible for total rewards package. Benefits include medical, dental, life and disability insurance products as well as defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans. Employees earn three weeks paid annual leave and three weeks sick leave in the first year in addition to 11 paid holidays annually, flexible work hours and longevity pay.
BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position is responsible for creating architectural space plan drawings using electronic software. This position will meet with clients and staff, and work independently to gather, analyze and meet customer needs.
Completes drawings and other documents to fix and describe the size and character of interior space of projects; prepares working drawings setting forth in detail the various components and materials; the dimensions of components; details of attaching, joining, and finishing the various components, the necessary interior drawings and details; component sizes and details, elevations, sections and other drawings required to construct the project; advises on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of equipment and furnishings; meets with clients to determine interior programs, equipment requirements, existing conditions, planned activities, and functional requirements of space; performs related work as required or assigned.
Completion of the curriculum requirements for a baccalaureate degree in architecture or interior design and 5 years of experience
