Job Summary: The Assistant Attorney General, General Counsel (Policy) will be able to effectively and professionally research, prepare, and analyze complex legal issues, including those brought forth by members of the Oklahoma Legislature. This person must have the ability to draft simple and complex legislation. Moreover s/he must demonstrate the ability to develop positive policy solutions that address problems from a legal standpoint. S/he will have the ability to interact professionally with members of the Legislature, various agencies, agency heads, and the Oklahoma Attorney General and his office staff. The successful candidate must maintain the integrity of the Oklahoma Office of Attorney General, as well as the confidentiality of information as required by the Oklahoma Attorney General and the Oklahoma Rules of Professional Conduct.
Qualifications: Applicant must be a licensed attorney in the State of Oklahoma. Strong writing, legal research, and interpersonal skills are a must. Some travel may be required.
