This position is located at VR #77-Miami.
Essential Functions: Under direct supervision performs entry-level work that may require supervisor’s signature of approval on eligibility decisions, Individual Plans for Employment (IPE) and amendments, authorizations for services and case closure; maintains a caseload; provide vocational counseling; information about services, consumer rights and makes referrals; performs initial interviews; collects consumer records; determines eligibility; analyzes consumers strengths and barriers to employment; completes comprehensive assessments of functional limitations and abilities; analyzes and interprets medical, psychological and financial records; provides job referral and job placement activities; coordinates services; monitor and evaluate consumer progress toward employment outcome; completes annual reviews, case documentations, and narratives.
Background Check: Effective January 1, 2012, the successful candidates for positions at the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services will be required to pass an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation criminal investigation and background check.
Education and Experience Requirements: Prefer candidates who are in the final year of a Master’s degree program which is accredited by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) in either rehabilitation counseling or Human Resources with a rehabilitation counselor major.
