BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION
Review independent audit reports of OKDHS contractors for provider solvency and deficiencies.
Under direction, performs reviews of organizational and functional activities and evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of the management controls over these activities. Determines whether organizational units in the agency are performing their planning, accounting, custodial or control activities in compliance with management instructions, applicable statements of policy and procedures, and in a manner consistent with both agency objectives and high standards of administrative practice. Assists to determine direction of proposed audit effort; assists to determine audit procedures to be used; assists to prepare audit programs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
Proficient in MS Office Applications; Familiar with ACL or other audit software. Strong written and oral communication skills.
Prefer candidates with a Bachelor degree in accounting or a closely related business field and 3 years of professional level auditing; a master’s degree and/or a CPA.
CIA certificate may substitute for up to 2 years of auditing experience.

This is a full-time unclassified state position with full state retirement and insurance benefits, including paid health, dental, life, and disability insurance. Annual leave of 10 hours per month and sick leave of 10 hours per month begin accruing immediately.
