The Economic Development Specialist is integral to the success of the lead development and recruitment efforts of National Recruiting Services. This position works closely with the members of the lead development and business recruiting teams to promote the state of Oklahoma to businesses considering expansion and location projects. This position’s responsibilities include sales & marketing, proposal/presentation development, database management, reporting, research, event management, lead development efforts, client communication, and various sales & marketing functions in support of the overall mission of National Recruiting Services.
•In collaboration with recruiters, develops National Recruiting proposals in response to companies/consultants requests for proposals (RFPs)
•Manages the Customer Relations Management database, insures pipeline data is populated and accurate, provides technical assistance, tracks the National Recruiting site location trends and successes, and completes related monthly and annual reporting
•Responsible for event project management including specified trade shows, call trips, receptions, etc.
•Provides marketing expertise and sales support for the division’s lead development efforts including external email and phone communication, event preparation and delivery, targeting efforts, client meeting preparation, list management and follow-up
•Performs various duties in support of the division’s overall mission which may include some domestic travel, scheduling of external sales meetings, client inquiries, mail, and incoming calls
Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbally and written. Possess skill in analyzing and solving problems. Advanced computer expertise in retrieving and producing information and organizing data into meaningful reports. Must work equally well both independently and as a team member. Intermediate to Advanced expertise in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and database applications. Sales, Marketing, Communications background helpful.
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Marketing or Sales related field, Business or a related degree and three to five years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, communications or a related field.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
