This position provides guidance and direction to Department staff in the area of contracting and procurement of services and products.  This may include: development of policies, rules and regulations; formulation of guidelines and procedures; review of agency grant applications; oversight of agency Certified Procurement Officers (CPOs); performance of highly technical and managerial duties for executive level positions; and other special projects as assigned. Preference may be given to candidates who are currently state CPO’s and/or Attorney’s.
 
Requirements:
  A bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or closely related field and at least five years of administrative experience within state government or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of technical procurement or purchasing experience for each year of the required experience.

NOTE:    Must hold and remain current with Certified Procurement Officer certification.  Salary range:  $60,000 – $75,900.
