Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to direct the billing operations of all programs of the Health Department which includes overseeing and directing financials and supervision.  This position is responsible for improving accounts receivable and reducing A/R days in compliance with all applicable regulations while providing excellent customer service.  This position also adheres to local, state, federal regulations and grant requirements, this includes establishing/developing quality assurance, and departmental policies and programs, and compliance guidelines for the practice and enforcing related policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: One year of experience supervising the review, verification, recording, adjusting and balancing of financial transactions.

Note:

1. Additional experience calculating and recording financial, statistical or other numerical data may be substituted on a year for-year basis for the required high school education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Financial Clerical/Finance Technicians classifications or specialty codes in the financial field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.
