Introduction
The Uninsured Employers' Fund Board is seeking a talented professional to serve as its Executive Director at its offices located in Towson, MD.

Main Purpose of Job
The Uninsured Employers' Fund (UEF) exists to pay awards ordered by the Workers' Compensation Commission in favor of injured workers against non-insured employers who default in payments, and to maintain an adequate fund balance from which to pay claims through the collection of applicable fines, assessments, and benefit recoveries. The UEF is overseen by a three-member Board, appointed by the Governor, and comprised of representatives from labor, management and the public. The successful candidate will be a strong leader and administrator with broad familiarity of workers compensation. The candidate will bring a demonstrated ability to establish a strategic vision, communicate effectively, work collaboratively and establish and meet benchmarks over time. The position requires an understanding of the State budget, procurement and legislative processes. The position will provide guidance to the staff and the Board in maintaining existing programs, evaluating and developing new programs, and ensuring financial integrity by directing fiscal activities. The position ensures that the Fund complies with all relevant laws, regulations and policies. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, public administration or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five (5) or more years of progressive management experience with legislative and budget issues in a State government organization.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
One legislative session of experience testifying before a State legislature.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree in business or JD in law.
