POSITION DUTIES

The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for a Paralegal position to provide legal support to the attorneys representing the Department of Budget and Management (Department).  The position primarily supports the 8 attorneys dedicated to representing the Department’s Central Collection Unit, as well as assisting the other assistant attorneys general in the office.  Position responsibilities include review and preparation of legal documents, interacting with various State agencies, tracking bankruptcy notices, monitoring payments on settlement agreements, conducting research; and generally assisting with the Unit’s collection practice. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Degree and/or certificate from an ABA approved paralegal school or college program.

Experience: Minimum of one year paralegal experience.

Note:  Must be computer literate with proficiency in or ability to learn word processing and legal research software, have excellent organizational skills, and be able to work at a consistently high volume.
