Main Purpose of Job

This position provides support to Central Services, Administrative and Facilities staff; orders, receives, stores and distributes supplies; maintains supply room's inventory; monitor and maintain agency asset management inventory; monitors and maintains photocopiers; distributes Flex Funds Purchase Authorization/Voucher (312's) to Service staff; enters information into FMIS (Financial Management Information System); monitors and maintains agency vehicles and recycling program; manages Mail Room and maintenance; processes incoming and outgoing mail using postage equipment; receives and distributes special deliveries from FedEx, UPS, and USPS; maintains awareness of physical condition of the agency's work areas, reports all problems to Central Service's manager and follows-up on repairs, cleaning, etc.; receives and distributes payroll checks for the Glen Burnie Office; provides coverage to main office when needed; secures undeliverable checks; completes finance office reports related to staff payroll and distributes petty cash as needed; and assists with emergency shelters to include manning and assisting residents applying for assistance with FEMA or State programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Please describe in detail any job duties relating to the minimum qualifications stated and include any computer software experience (ex. Word, Excel, Access, etc.) used in each of the positions you held.

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies.

Note:

1. Additional experience as stated above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One year experience working in a computer-aided inventory control operation.

One year experience with FMIS/ADPICS.

Proficient in Excel, Word and Google.

One year experience with repairing office furniture or skilled in fixing and assembling various items.

Able to lift 50 pounds.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
