LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in the Search and Rescue Community, including Maryland State Police (MSP) operations as related to Search and Rescue, NASAR Instructor Certification for Introduction to Search and Rescue ( ISAR). Recognized by Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) as an Incident Command System Instructor at various levels. Minimum of three (3) years of in-class and field teaching experience with the Maryland Park Service or other similar organizations.
For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency evaluating members identified at http://www.naces.org/members.htm.

A college degree is preferred but not required.

BENEFITS
Contractual employees who works for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program (the Program), have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
