**Contractual Position**
The Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR), Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning (DWDAL) is accepting applications from qualified candidates for Administrative Officer II to support the Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Unit within the Office of Workforce Development (OWD). Please be advised that frequent travel will be required and a State vehicle may not always be available. Reimbursement for use of personal vehicle will apply according to the State travel policy.

Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Two years experience in administrative or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year to year basis for the required education and experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience in working with development of programs similar in nature to Registered Apprenticeship.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated knowledge of Registered Apprenticeship Programs and conducting outreach on behalf of the growth of Registered Apprenticeship or programs of a similar nature is desired. In addition to familiarity with the American Job Centers and the related Workforce Development Programs.
Candidates should have strong attention to detail and able to use computers proficiently. In addition to following program rules and guidelines. The successful candidate will be able to sort, scan and file documents.
