Main Purpose of Job

The position directs and manages the Information Services administrative units for the Anne Arundel County Department of Health. The position supervises a staff of 6 employees and manages an annual operating budget of $600,000 and total Department Information Technology Services assets of $8 million. The position functions as Security Officer for the entire Department's electronic data.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other information technology-related field to include coursework in local or wide area networks.

Experience: Five years of experience planning, integrating and maintaining software and hardware for local or wide area networks.  At least, including 3 years experience supervising information technology staff, including desktop and network support technicians, database or other software programmers.

Notes: Thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other information technology-related field to include coursework in local or wide area networks may be substituted for the required education.
