Main Purpose of Job

This position will assist the agency in posting child support payments to Child Support Enforcement System (CSES) by maintaining accounts, accepting and processing child support payments through the scanning process. This position functions at the full performance level of duties and receives general supervision. This position also works with the Establishment and Enforcement Units by working escrow reports and determining the best course of action required to disburse payments to the custodial or non-custodial parent.

POSITION DUTIES

Processes and scans payments to the SDU in compliance with Child Support Enforcement Administration's (CSEA) Standard Operating Procedures for Electronic Payment Processing.

Reviews Fiscal Escrow Reports and determines the appropriate payee in order to disburse payments and/or determines the reason the payment remains in escrow and takes appropriate action for disbursement.  Also, locates payees to disburse payments to the correct address.

Reviews adjustment requests and documentation for correctness/completeness and to adjust accounts accordingly.  Update account information and delete accounts when appropriate.  Maintain documentation of account transactions, Record pertinent information in CSES case action logs.  Complete account maintenance control log.

Tends to daily receipt processing of payments in compliance with CSEA's standards.

Provides daily Customer Service in compliance with CSEA's standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Three years of experience reviewing, verifying, recording, adjusting and balancing financial transactions.

Notes:

1. Experience calculating and recording financial, statistical or other numerical data may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required high school education.

2. Six credit hours in accounting from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Financial Clerical/Finance Technicians classifications or specialty codes in the financial field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.
