Main Purpose of Job

As the Executive Associate to the Director of the Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ), the main purpose of this position is to serve as the personal assistant to the Executive Director. This position is responsible for: addressing, prioritizing, and conveying to the Executive Director communications received from state officials, lobbyists, health care facility executives, and other OHCQ stakeholders; maintaining the Executive Director's calendar by coordinating appointments, interviews and travel arrangements; maintaining and updating the OHCQ web site; ensuring the completion of special projects assigned by the Executive Director; receiving telephone calls and visitors for the Executive Director; coordinating responses to inquiries, complaints, requests and handling correspondence - both controlled and general; and, developing materials such as agendas, meeting minutes, and assignment lists in support of Executive Director meetings. The position will make extensive use of word processing, database, spreadsheet, publishing, and web based software applications to meet these responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:    Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.  

EXPERIENCE:   Five years of administrative support experience.
