All MPT internships are unpaid. An internship that is not for academic credit is deemed a volunteer.

Main Purpose of Job
Maryland Public Television offers full- and part-time internships for college students throughout the year. Internships are specifically designed to provide training and experience for students interested in public broadcasting.
Intern assists the Director of the Special Projects Unit in coordinating the production of high quality non-broadcast video, photo and print products for out-of-house clients. May help the Director produce, write, edit, and create electronic graphics for these programs. Also maintains SPU digital assets inventory. The Special Projects Unit represents MPT on a daily basis with leaders of the business community, heads of state agencies and local non-profits.
Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:
Students must be a Junior, Senior or Graduate of a college, university, or trade school who must be able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week and have reliable transportation.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Majors: Mass Communications-TV production, Producing, Editing, Writing
