Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Directs the implementation of ongoing, changes, and new program requirements in order to comply with Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA), Temporary Disability Assistance Program (TDAP), Food Supplement, and MA regulations. This is done by reviewing and interpreting program requirements, discussing new and revised requirements, conducting FI staff meetings, writing operating procedures, providing policy clarification, and monitoring to ensure that staff are implementing the requirements correctly.
Ensures compliance with federal and local policies by overseeing the timely and accurate completion of applications, redeterminations, and corrective actions by meeting with supervisors, individual case managers, and utilizing the Client Information System (CIS), Medicaid Management Information System MMIS-II systems, Data Watch as well as regularly generated reports including the Application Status Report and in house control systems.
On behalf of the agency, contact the legal counsel of MA applicants to keep them abreast of the status of their client's application and prevent a case from going to court. Monitors cases sent to the State Review Team. Monitor Alerts.
Retrieves information from Data Watch and prepare the 230 code denial report.
Reviews Application Status Report Weekly to ensure cases are being completed timely, coded correctly, assigned to appropriate staff, case assignments are made equitably, etc.
Prepares memoranda of instruction, develop action plans, recommend training, reassign cases to address concerns.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Four years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

1. Applicants may substitute additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Applicants may substitute education at the graduate level at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 semester hours per year for up to two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet the selective qualification(s) to be considered. Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
1. One year of the required minimum experience must have been in case management, support services, or related experience interpreting federal, state or local program policy for the purpose of ensuring compliance.
AND
2. One year of the required minimum experience must have been in using Excel.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong preference will be given to applicants that possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding the qualifications.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
1. One year of the required minimum experience must have been in a administrative staff capacity overseeing and coordinating the administration of a Human Service Program within a Family Investment Administration Program.
2. One year experience determining eligibility for governmental assistance programs.
3. One year supervisory experience.
4. Ability to speak and understand alternate language, preferably Spanish.
5. Experience using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
