Main Purpose of Job
This position has responsibility for researching, analyzing, developing and presenting information on public health initiatives, health delivery reform, developing health care services, policies and programs. This position offers legislative and regulatory support. This position represents the Office of the Deputy Secretary of Public Health Services at meetings and conferences and responds to inquiries from constituents.
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three years of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.
1. A Master's degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
2. A PhD in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field may be substituted for two years of the required experience.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
