Main Purpose of Job
This position will support the overall mission of the Military Department by being responsible for the training and staff development of the agency. With over 350 contractual and regular state employees, this position will develop the curriculum for training and staff development in such areas as but not limited to Workday, customer service, supervisory training and on-boarding. This position will focus on training that requires a combination of practical knowledge of the methods and techniques of adult learning and the practical knowledge of the subject matter taught.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: Five years of employment in employee development and training work, two years of which must have involved instruction and curriculum development in management and supervisory training programs.
Note:
1. Applicants may substitute education at the graduate level in business administration, public administration, education, or psychology at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the general experience required above, for up to three years of the general experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Leadership/Management Training Program Officer classifications or Education and Training, Education Officer, or Training specialty codes in the program development field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
** For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency evaluating members identified at http://www.naces.org/members.html
