Main Purpose of Job
Maintain the grounds by operating lawn mowers, tractors, weed-eaters, hedge clippers and sod cutters. Also removes ice and snow from roadways and walkways when necessary. The scope of the area maintained includes 175+ acres and 55 separate buildings.
POSITION DUTIES
Maintain ground by operating lawn mowers, tractors, weed-eaters, hedge clippers and edger.
Remove ice and snow from roadways and walkways.
Plant, transplant and prune trees and shrubs.
Assist maintenance personnel as directed by the maintenance supervisor and base engineer.
Perform janitorial duties as directed by the maintenance supervisor and base engineer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: None.
Experience: Six months of experience in the care and maintenance of grounds.
