Main Purpose of Job

The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for an Administrative Officer II position at the Department of Juvenile Services ("DJS"). The position is responsible performing and carrying out the highest level of all non-legal and administrative functions of the Office. The candidate will provide executive support to the Principal Counsel and other attorneys within the division, and managerial support to support staff to meet the requirements and goals of the office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited high school or have possession of a high school equivalency certificate, and five years’ experience performing administrative, secretarial work or clerical work involving administrative duties and office management.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

Legal secretary or administrative background;

Experience with Microsoft Word or other work processing software;

Experience assisting attorneys with trial preparation;

Supervisory experience.
