Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
The incumbent will oversee the Office’s budget and assist with implementing policies and procedures. This position will represent the department in matters relative to the functions of the Office and meet with external administrative and enforcement entities, as well as, with internal supervisors and managers, and officials of other agencies concerning program activities. The ability to maintain effective and professional confidentiality is essential to this position.
The candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills to communicate effectively with all levels of internal employees, the public, and government elected officials; and be able to clearly communicate through formal presentations, in writing, by email or telephone contact. The candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple, concurrent, and high priority tasks; have experience establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to include Federal, State and local partnership; and be able to accurately document and record information, generate reports, and evaluate information to determine compliance with standards and to ensure compliance with EEO laws. The ability to effectively interact with other departmental administrators and appropriate enforcement agencies is required. The candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Access; Google mail; and or other relevant software.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, four-year college or university AND eight (8) years of recent professional experience implementing an equal employment opportunity program and ensuring adherence to fair practice standards to include administration of programs for persons with disabilities and policy implementation.
A combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted.
