Main Purpose of Job

This Assistant Director position provides leadership and oversight of Family Investment program operations establishing standards, goals and schedules for Family Investment staff; setting priorities and evaluating the effectiveness of both staff and programs; aligning budgets with program priorities and working collaboratively with community partners. This position serves as Program Manager for all Family Investment and Work Opportunities programs, which provide for the economic stabilization and well-being of children and families. This position provides supervision to the program supervisors. This position is a member of the executive staff of the agency and is expected to work in a dynamic and collaborative mode with all relevant stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:  Four years of management experience in a human services program; two years of experience determining eligibility for Family Investment programs or monitoring for compliance in those programs and two years of supervisory experience in Family Investment or another related human services field/setting.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualifications.  Include clear and specific information on your application regarding these qualifications.

Experience in the application of leadership theory.

Experience in setting priorities and evaluating the effectiveness of both staff and programs.

Experience with budget management

Experience in developing relationships with and working collaboratively with community partners.

Experience in achieving program performance.
