Main Purpose of Job

The Bridge Center at Adams House is a new initiative being developed in collaboration by representatives from Prince George's County's Health & Human Services Programs and community partners. The Center Manager Position will be a full-time managerial position responsible for the coordination of both internal and external Bridge Center activities. The Bridge Center at Adams House will be a fully integrated system of services designed to address the needs of three groups within the community: Returning Citizens, At-Risk Youth and Veterans. The Center Manager will be responsible for providing leadership in the daily operation of the Bridge Center at Adam's House including: developing operating protocols, assuring partners are effectively utilizing the planned data collection and case management tool (ETO, Social Solutions), providing outreach and education to the community and in-reach to Center partners to ensure quality customer service; providing exceptional service delivery that meet or exceeds federal, state and local standards. The Center Manager must have a strong background in office and program management, knowledge of the populations within Prince George's County, excellent verbal and written skills, problem solving skills, team building skills with the capability to expertly manage partnering agencies and understand the needs and priorities of multiple stakeholders, policies and processes for anticipated outcomes. In addition the Center Manager must monitor the adherence to Federal, State and local laws and provide monthly reporting on program and other required data. The Center Manager serves the target populations by monitoring and ensuring the correct implementation of Center strategies and operations; improving systems and processes as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with 6 years of experience in professional health or human services, including two years as a supervisor/manager.

BENEFITS

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program (the Program), have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents.  As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
