Main Purpose of Job

Under direction from the Executive Director, this position oversees, plans and directs the day-to-day marketing and communications operations for the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). This position plans, executes and evaluates comprehensive communications programs that reinforce the mission of the MMCC. Areas of responsibility also include: marketing, media relations, internal and external communications, publications, website management, graphic design, issue and crisis management and community relations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a health-related field required OR equivalent knowledge obtained through experience. Ten years of progressively responsible experience in communications and social media, preferably in a health care related field. Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in managing and directing staff.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position.  A resume must accompany your application.
