Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- To provide internal and external constituents with complex certification information based on a thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations and policies that pertain to educator certification.
- Provide executive assistance and support to the Branch Chief including: coordination of the Branch Chief’s mail, calendar, telephone, and email requests and determination of the appropriate course of action for response; coordination of branch workflow; preparation of correspondence entailing a wide knowledge of the Division’s and Branch’s procedures, functions, and policies for the review and signature of the Branch Chief; and maintain and type confidential material.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Five years performing secretarial work or clerical work involving typing duties.
Notes:
1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration or Personnel Specialist classifications or Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Special Assistant or Secretarial fields of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

1 year experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are preferred, not required:
- Customer service experience
- Call center or multi-phone experience
- Microsoft Office Share Point or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience
