Industrial Painters - 1st Shift

 

  

 

 

Job Duties:  

 

 

  • Paint excavator surfaces and assembly components using spray guns to exacting quality standards
  • Prepare and surface finish to high visual appearance.     
  • Prepare equipment and parts for the painting process (including masking/taping, shot blasting, cleaning, etc.)
  • Some work using brushes, rollers and other paint processes
  • Maintain all related equipment used for painting in good working condition
  • Perform a variety of duties to spray paint products or parts following established methods and procedures
  • Clean spray guns, brushes, rollers, flushes hoses, cleans booths and accessory equipment
  • Operate a variety of overhead lifting devices
  • At times will be required to operate a variety of mobile industrial equipment (gas, diesel and electric), including fork lifts and/or tuggers
  • Actively participate in process improvement activities (safety, quality and productivity)
  • Keep work area clean, free from safety hazards and follow all applicable safety rules
  • Work as a team member and co-operates with co-workers
  • Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends
  • Complete all other duties, as assigned
  • 1st Shift: Mon – Thurs for 10 hours (6 AM to 4:30 PM), Overtime possible daily and Fridays depending upon Production Schedule.

 

 

Experience Required: 

 

  • High School diploma (or GED)
  • 1 year of painting experience in a manufacturing operation
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient  in the execution of standardized methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and practices
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior
