Mechatronics Technician

Job Duties:

Fitting components, pipes, cables and units and testing (sub) systems according to drawings.

Major Responsibilities:

• Fitting and assembly of components.
• Cuts pipes to size, bending and fitting them for the fitting of hydraulic, pneumatic and cooling units in accordance with the drawing.
• Wiring and connecting components and subsystems in accordance with drawing and work instructions. Laying and connecting cables to the equipment (operational systems, motors, measuring instruments, signalling and security) and in the switchboxes.
• Uses drawings, documentation and/or Eplan diagrams.
• Discusses any issues with the Project Coordinator or Team Leader Mechatronics.
• Making the devices and machines operational and testing subsystems in cooperation with the Project Coordinator and members of the Project Team.
• Ensures components and moving parts are set correctly. Investigates breakdowns and resolves them.
• Makes changes in consultation with the Project Coordinator.
• Makes electrical engineering changes in consultation with the Eplan engineers and Project Coordinator. Keeps track of changes made during fitting and writes them down on the Eplan diagrams.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Must be able to read and interpret diagrams and drawings for the execution of the fitting and wiring sequence.
• Knowledge of mechatronics, electrical engineering, hydraulics, pneumatics and cooling is required.
• Must be proficient in use of hand tools, measuring equipment and auxiliary tools.

Education and/or Experience

• Associates degree in Mechatronics preferred.
• Must be available to travel overseas.
• Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
