Position needed to provide clerical support for programs provided by Garfield County Health Department. Responsibilities of position are required for provision of WIC, Immunization, Family Planning, STD, Adult Health, Communicable Disease, C1 and Guidance services. Duties will include but are not limited to: answering phones, scheduling appointments, providing general information to the public, filing and maintaining client records, filing and preparing program reports, collection of fees and related services. Must have the ability to work independently and perform complex and technical duties including computer knowledge; maintaining a variety of records; reconciling records; preparing correspondence, and creating reports. Preference may be given to Bi-lingual applicants.
Other: Position requires possible response to public health emergencies including, but not limited to, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, or catastrophic events. The Oklahoma State Department of Health is tobacco free. Employees are prohibited from using tobacco products throughout all indoor and outdoor areas of premises under the control of the Oklahoma State Department of Health, in all vehicles on those premises, and in state vehicles in use for OSDH business anywhere. Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of one year of clerical office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Some positions may require skill in typing accurately from plain copy at a rate of forty words per minute.
