BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position audits OKDHS programs, processes, and contracts to help ensure accountability and compliance with state and federal regulations and OKDHS contracts.
Reviews independent audit reports of OKDHS contractors for provider solvency and deficiencies. Under direction performs audit steps assigned on approved audit programs of OKDHS contractors and of internal processes of the Agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
Knowledge of accounting and auditing theory and practice; of financial report writing; of a wide range of analytical principles and practices; of office procedures and practices; and of organizational theory, functions, methods and techniques; and skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with others; in analyzing complex situations and adopting an effective course of action, in conducting several projects simultaneously; in expressing ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and in comprehending and carrying out complex accounting, auditing and fiscal procedures.
Completion of curriculum requirements for a baccalaureate degree with a concentration in accounting or a closely related business field and 5 years of professional level experience in auditing work, including 4 years in governmental auditing; a combination of education and experience may be considered; a masters degree and/or CPA or CIA certificate may substitute for up to 2 years of auditing experience. Proficient in MS Office Applications; Familiar with ACL or other audit software.
Applicants must be willing and able to perform all job related travel normally associated with this position.

This is a full-time unclassified state position with full state retirement and insurance benefits, including paid health, dental, life, and disability insurance. Annual leave of 10 hours per month and sick leave of 10 hours per month begin accruing immediately.
